The Vulture Multi-species Action Plan (Vulture MsAP) provides a coordinated international framework for the conservation of 15 migratory Old World vulture species across 128 Range States. It aims to halt and reverse population declines by addressing major threats including poisoning, electrocution and collisions, habitat loss, food availability, direct persecution and illegal trade, while promoting coordinated implementation across the species’ ranges.
In April 2023, the CMS Raptors MOU contracted the drafting partners of the Vulture MsAP to conduct a Mid-term Implementation Review (MTIR), to assess the scale of implementation across the range halfway through the implementation Timeframe of the Vulture MsAP.
