2017/003: New Signatory to the CMS Sharks and Raptors MOUs

The Secretariat of the Convention on the Conservation of Migratory Species of Wild Animals (CMS) is pleased to announce that:

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia signed the Memorandum of Understanding on the Conservation of Migratory Sharks (Sharks MOU) and the Memorandum of Understanding on the Conservation of Migratory Birds of Prey in Africa and Eurasia (Raptors MOU) on 13 March 2017 in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates

This brings the total number of Signatories to the Sharks MOU to 42 and to 57 for the Raptors MOU.  The Sharks MOU has been in effect since 1 March 2010, while the Raptors MOU has been in effect since 1 November 2008.
