Drone Use For Raptor Conservation and Monitoring Applications: Review and Best Practices

This document has been developed as a contribution to the Technical Advisory Group (TAG) supporting the Memorandum of Understanding on the Conservation of Migratory Birds of Prey in Africa and Eurasia (Raptors MOU). 
It reviews the application of multirotor unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) for raptor conservation-related actions. 

The document introduces the subject, delineates pros and cons of UAV use, provides a list of best practices intended to standardise operations through all participating countries and provides useful digital resources for practitioners.
