Andy Raine has been appointed as Executive Secretary of the Convention on the Conservation of Migratory Species of Wild Animals (CMS), effective Monday, 1 June 2026. Las Partes de la Convención sobre la Conservación de las Especies Migratorias de Animales Silvestres (CMS) han presentado propuestas para incluir 42 nuevas especies migratorias en los apéndices de la Convención, por considerar que requieren protección internacional. Debido al aumento de su población, se propone eliminar una especie — el ciervo de Bukhara — de la lista de especies que requieren la máxima protección.
